Did any of you that received the Alumni invitation get a “special access code”. I clicked on Apply and it says: “If you have a special access code please enter it here”
There was no such code provided in my email.
@ricardomata83
it can be tricky with appeals because schools like UCLA usually discourage from appealing. while a relocation is an important factor for you, what UCLA is looking more for is new information or corrections to your application that you originally submitted. appeal anyway though, but we succinct and don’t bash the committee, lol
anyone else planning to appeal or know who successfully got in before on appeal?
Yeah I received the alumni email as well.
Is anyone going to the Bay Area Reception?
@Cheolf Hi, can I hear about their response regarding dropping a course too? Because I’m also thinking of dropping one.
I’m not apart of the Honors program, but IIRC it was just a box to check on MyUCLA if you qualified. Maybe after your preliminary transcript is inputted into DARS? I can’t really remember
@ghgh95 Sure. I’ll send you a PM as soon as I hear back. Hopefully that will be within the next few days!
fellow pre-meds: uci for public health b.s. or ucla for psych b.a.?
admission contract!!!
Help!!!
four (4) transferable courses in at least two of the following subject areas: arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and physical and biological sciences.
However, two of these classes I choose P/NP not Letter grade. Will that effect my admission?
Btw, I pass these two classes and I am UC-UC transfer student.
@pugzandhugz
Don’t think calc 3 is required, but it looks good if you’re trying to go to grad school for econ.
@DamienJacky I think those need to be taken for a letter grade, but I could be wrong.
@pereaa I might
@luckie1367 Thanks for the help I really appreciate it!
I received the email for the Transfer Alumni Scholarship too. I’m thinking everyone got it but not sure
Everyone gets the offer to apply for the alumni scholarship
@GirlPower1 is that true? I haven’t received any email.
@Cheolf Do you mind letting me know what happens too?
@Oldhopeful even if you haven’t received the email you can still apply, the scholarship is open to everyone. I started my application weeks ago and just received the email today
lol @Oldhopeful - I’m starting to think us old folks are getting iced out
I wouldn’t say “everyone”. One of the requirements is to have at least a 3.75 GPA.
Oops, sorry didn’t know about the GPA requirement
