@Philosoup Why would you send transcripts before SIR’ing? You should SIR first, then send.
ETA: Otherwise you would be sending to every UC you got accepted to because you don’t know where you’ll SIR?
Idk if I’m choosing Cal or LA… Or even which major… I’m so lost, lol…
I’m leaning towards LA though. Does anyone know if you can switch your major though? Which majors can you NOT transfer to? I am thinking of majoring in communication studies. Currently I’m a pre-global studies major.

@Happy2Help I’m still undecided and would like until May 30th to decide. But I don’t wanna mail in my transcripts on May 30th when the due date is June 1 if I SIR to LA.

I haven’t received mine yet but the mail still hasn’t arrived…though my anxiety is still out of control because I’m still convinced my admission was some sort of mistake 0_o
I got mine along with UCSD admission packet. @dkarbcs Although it said completed on MyUCLA, it asked me to submit additional information. They ask me to scan a copy of my green card, front and back and mail it to them which I already mailed in this morning. UCLA said that it is for tuition purpose, so I think it does not affect your admission decision.
Edited: It also required me to mail out the information within ten days from the day I SIRd. Please be aware of that.
@philosoup It is up to the CC, not you, as to when the transcript is sent so yes you should go ahead and order them to be sent with Fall grades to the most likely UCs you think you will SIR at!

So just to clear up confusing I have - I am currently deciding between UCLA and another UC. Can/should I send my transcripts to both schools?

Anyone else trying to switch into Global Studies? I got in for Geography, which was my second choice major.
@wannabeflower lol I got accepted as a pre-global studies major.
I’m thinking about doing communications, although people are saying you can’t switch into it. On the website, it gives you 3 options:
- Students are classified as pre-majors until the lower division preparation courses are completed at UCLA.
- Admission to this major is highly selective, as the number of applicants greatly exceeds space available.
- You must be admitted directly into this major. You will not be able to change into this major after admission to UCLA.
Global studies has 1 and 2 next to it. Communication studies only has a 2 next to it… So it doesn’t directly say you can’t switch into it, otherwise it’d have a 3 next to it, as business Econ, Econ, life science majors, and psychology do.
