FALL 2016 UCLA OFFICIAL TRANSFER THREAD

Anyone else still waiting on their offer? Mine still just says “application submitted.” Did you get an email too?

@foreverwmt I did not get an email (I just checked housing application).

They are probably going to release the rest of the offers later this week.

I see mine now. It says I got a deluxe triple in De Neve. Does this mean I’m in either Holly or Gardenia since they’re located in De Neve plaza? I really wanted the transfer community.

@foreverwmt deluxe triple in De Neve most likely means you are in Holly/ Gardenia!
(see this link: https://housing.ucla.edu/student-housing/freshman-students/living-on-campus/deluxe-residence-halls )

I got DN Deluxe Triple.

Awesome! Now how do you accept your offer?

DYK?
Classic triple?
Lol nope.
I’m going to find a place near campus.

@foreverwmt I think UCLA will send us an email when we are able to accept our housing offer.

Does anyone have a link where the meal plans are explained in full detail? Or can anyone go in-depth and explain it themselves?

@Panorama14
Meal Plan explanations are here: https://housing.ucla.edu/dining-services/meal-plans
There are 5 plans, 19P, 19, 14P, 14, 11. The number indicates the # of meals per week.

The P represents the fact that you can eat your meals at any time & that meals carry over from each week to the next.

Meal Plan+Housing pricing is here: https://housing.ucla.edu/my-housing/rates-contracts-rules/housing-contract-rates-rental-rates

Got the housing email.

what is the transfer community that people keep mentioning in housing?

does anyone know if we can change our rooms? I got a plaza triple and i would much rather live in a double or single. Triple was my last choice! :frowning:

@SevenBlue7 same haha. I wanted a double and requested to room with my bestfriend but I got a plaza triple :stuck_out_tongue: oh wells, gotta deal with it i guess

Does anybody know what the OCH means in the payment options? Do we select OCH-finaid if we get financial aid?

Yeah I got a deluxe triple in SLC? Does anyone know what SLC stands for?

I wanted a deluxe double/triple in holly/gardenia

Also when did you guys submit your housing? Did it matter if you submitted your housing earlier?

SLC is Sproud Landing Cove

@boxlover OCH means on-campus housing.

I just submitted my CAR :slight_smile:

I got a Deluxe Triple in De Neve Residence Hall. I am 25 yrs old (going on 26) and have lived out on my own. I can’t even begin to explain how upset I am about my housing offer. [-( If I accept and submit a CAR, what are the chances of me landing in a room that has a private or shared bathroom (non-community bathroom)?? Or is it best to just get an off campus apartment?

Is it just me or does any one have “Your Provisional Award Letter (PAL) is not available at this time” when you view your Financial Aid and Scholarships information?

Also, it won’t let me choose Financial Aid (UA-FinAid) for housing payment plan.
