FALL 2017 UCLA OFFICIAL TRANSFER THREAD

UCLA pushed their admission decision date back to April 26th after 5pm

Welp, 4 days 21 hours and 17 minutes. Let the countdown begin… again.

@LynAmmo so not ready for a part two of today b-(

@adam415 yep, i found out yesterday

I ate all my ice cream in anticipation, now I have to buy another pint [-(

Anyone know anything about the American Literature and Culture major at UCLA? My application is still pending btw. Is it easier to get into that major rather than if you were applying to be an English major?

THIS MAKES ME SO ANGRY GRWAHAEHDISNDIEJODJWODBWIDJEODIWBEOWJFBEIIE :((

WATCH THERE BE A GLITCH ON WED AND THEY SAY “We’re sorry, decisions will actually be released on Friday, April 21 in the year 3000”

depends on GPA. They won’t accept you if your GPA is low even there is no people applying for that major.

@andcc23 yes the American Lit and culture major has all of the same major requirements as English but less competitive. I applied as an english major and American lit and culture was my alternate. Are you also an English major?

@andc123 I do! Yes it’s easier. Look at the stats.

Wow cool!

@champagnemami Wow super cool! I’m sure you can do it!
@DMelanogaster nice! We’re in the same boat as far as schools go lol. Wish LA came out today…as it was SUPPOSED to haha!

Well congrats to all who got Davis and/or San Diego today! Slightly buoys the spirit after UC-deLAY haha…And for those who didn’t get a response yet–don’t worry! Remember that results aren’t due until April 30th! Let’s all wait for April 26 now. > u <

@andc123 hi ya I’m an American Lit and Culture Major I applied to that one because when the UCLA representative came to my CCC they highly recommended if you really want to attend UCLA than you hold a better chance applying to noncompetive majors. Also the admit rate for American Lit and Culture over the past few years has been about 60% and the GPA range is way lower more of 3.3-3.5 instead of English itself which is typically 3.5 or higher. Hope this helped!

BERNIEEE :x

Hey everyone, when you check your portals what colors are the words “application status” and “application under review” in? Is it red for the first one and purple for the second one?

@ParadoxicalFire Why are you asking that tho? Does it mean sth!!!

@4UCBClay bruh idk :-S I’m wondering if it’s the same for everyone. what color are yours???

@ParadoxicalFire I just inspected the website. The first part is a pure “red”, and the second one’s color is the RGB(83, 104, 149), aka “UCLA Blue” (src: http://www.99colors.net/name/ucla-blue). I know it kinda looks purple, but that color is the same as the background color.
I think those colors are static for everyone.
