@4UCBClay hmm I see. Thanks for checking!!
@LynAmmo I decided to take the course till Wed. I got only one W so far. As you mentioned, it is not for IGETC (I am not taking IGETC anyways), units, nor requirement. Therefore, I assume dropping it with W will be fine. I will def contact them after I am accepted. Thank you for your advice
@4UCBClay No problem! Better safe than sorry.
Are there any other UC to UC transfers out there?
My nerves are so bad that I’m over here working on a month’s worth of assignments. I’m trying and failing to not get my hopes up.
@InTheNightSky95 i get it! the stress is eating at me right now. Wednesday feels so far away
@Transfer510 not a UC to UC but CSU to UC
Each night you sleep hours go by. I’ve never been ready to sleep this early in my whole college experience :)) Once it hits Sunday, it’ll come by so fast because of school. Just keep breathing [-O<
@LynAmmo honestly you’re so right. these past few weeks, as i was mentally counting down to ucla and cal’s decision dates, i felt that the weekends always seemed to drag by, while the hustle of weekdays made time fly by~
I have work the next two days so hopefully that will help! I can’t wait to start talking about dorming and meal plans, etc. DANGIT UCLA, THIS WEEKEND I WAS SUPPOSED TO PLAN OUT MY LIFE :((
I just figured out housing options at UCSD are way way cheaper than ucla and uci.
@Transfer510 yup I’m a UC to UC transfer.
@Transfer510 intercampus transfer here
Does anyone know how Cal Grants work? My counselor told me that my college will automatically forward my GPA to CSAC, but I can’t login to CSAC to check my Cal Grant status since I took his word on faith.
UCSB does show the Cal Grant figure in my provisional aid report but now I’m spooked because I have no means of verifying my Cal Grant status.
@mightyMETA What’s good. I’m assuming you submitted your FAFSA, right? Your counselor is right; the college automatically sends your GPA to CSAC. You should be able to log in on CSAC to see the details of your grants (Pell and Cal Grant type). If not, create an account.
Either way, you should have received an email from CSAC. @mightyMETA
@williamyang Good man. I was able to login but according to the award details they didn’t receive my GPA xD So thats’ not looking ideal, but I have submitted the FAFSA (and I qualify as an independent) so I expect to have the full force of the Pell Grant on my side.
And hmm, I’m looking at the site below right now, and they estimate yearly tuition to fall around 13k
https://www.admission.ucla.edu/prospect/budget.htm
Have you or has anyone reading this done the research on exactly how UCLA tuition is calculated? I’m sure it’s based on units and maybe some other factors as well…
What?! Your school should have submitted it. I would check back with your school counselor, as well as the financial aid office to see what’s going on.
