I’m trying to write an essay and study for a pre calc quiz while coping with this anxiety. This isn’t helping. Not to mention text from friends who went to UCLA straight from high school asking me if I got in.
@LbcctoUCLA17 Hi! Based on your stats I’m 100% sure you’ll get in. Based on last years range accepted GPA for cognitive science is a 3.50-3.82. Mine’s .1 under the 25% of accepted. I just feel like there are so many qualified people. My EC’s were decent, but I wasn’t that active in my community college. My school sadly didn’t offer TAP for UCLA. What other schools did you apply to? Do you have TAP?

I’m sitting in my anthro class and my teacher is talking about the UCSD situation and how shocked alot of people were that they got denied with a 4.0…He went there for his undergrad and ph.d for anthro and now he teaches there part time. I’m in the back pretending to be paying attention to lecture while I refresh the ucla page every 10 seconds lol
@“osazuwa ogbeide” religious studies! You should be good with your major, I think like the more “niche” majors are more holistic.

@cspoon1126 Are you an anthro major? I think anthro at UCSD is pretty good, like I’ve heard they have a lot of bones and artifacts.

Don’t believe in the “mandatory” minimum guys. Apply for those majors like Philosophy or Womens’ Studies because people just care about school name when you graduate. Also, Philosophy expands your damn brain, and women are pretty damn interesting to study.

Anyone else here applying for the second time? I applied as a senior in high school and it hurt so much to get rejected (for undeclared - social sciences). It’s going to suck being rejected again (but this time with really good grades)
@Batgirl97 Yeah Im an anthro major. They have a good program, I didn’t apply to UCSD though because I’ve already lived in san diego before and I didnt really wanna go there…
@area21 this is my third time applying. i applied highschool 2013 fall 2015 socioogy and know fall 2016 African american studies your not alone. I apply again if i dont get in this time around there no rule to how many time you apply you just can’t go over the unit cap if your at a four year college.I didnt lose any money since i got a free waiver
Anyone know if UCLA will allow you to switch from your primary to alternate major, if accepted?! If anyone is wondering, im trying to switch from Poli Sci to Soc. Thanks in advance! Good Luck Everyone
I’m confused why people are saying ucsd decisions came out yesterday? I heard back from them in March and got accepted.
