Does anyone know when financial aid is disbursed?
@uclahopeful2017 In the past, financial aid for Fall was disbursed about 10 days before the tuition payment was due.
You are still on the hook to make the initial housing small payments that show up on the BruinBill through the summer.
@Happy2Help I was actually assigned to Westwood Palm for a 2 bedroom/ 3 people. Hear anything good about it?
Congratulations @Negative273c! http://www.housing.ucla.edu/maps/Westwood-Palm.htm
Two people share the master and there is another bedroom for the 3rd person. I don’t know how the actual arrangement is worked out as to who gets what.
You’re going to be close to De Neve and the transfer community!
@Negative273c jealous!
@racerbabe11 I go to shows! Message me
Do you guys know if the transfer community have a group on fb?? It would be great to bond and meet new people on there as well
Yes I think that’s why it’s quiet here… search on FB for “UCLA Fall 2017 Transfer”
I’m taking 2 classes this summer. one in session A and one in session C. I just got an email saying that my full summer payment is due on Jun 23. Now I got qualified for summer financial aid, but on the bill its asking for the entire amount. When will my summer financial aid be disbursed?
@jaleshaiker fin aid dispersed 10 days prior to session A
How excited are u guys to transfer, I got deluxe double in de neve, de neve gonna be lit this year
Who’s got session 202?
@skrrrtskrrrrttt Super excited!!! I got the deluxe triple, and it’s gonna be super fun.
Yes, I’m so excited but it’s so far away! Though I got a deluxe triple, excited to have hopefully awesome roommates!!!
@Tik1127 Whew, thank you for your input . So nervous and scared tho considering there’s a lot of students signing up for classes, but your response makes me feel calm.
Btw, did everyone put their initials on the Financial Responsibility Agreement in order to see the Bruin Bill? I just signed my initials after looking through the agreement. When exactly do we pay our registration fees? Is financial aid going to cover it, or only tuition? Still confused…
Hey guys! somebody might have already answered this but i could not find the answer…
If we wanted to try to create a class schedule to have a few different options for orientation how do we know what classes are needed for our major?
I got a Deluxe Triple in De Neve and got session 202. It would be fun to not be alone during orientation, so if anyone’s got the same situation or just wants to be friends hmu. I’d love to meet new people and actually have a life this year haha.

Go to your major’s website and also consult the catalog.
I also got deluxe double in DN and my major is biz econ.
To see what courses you need, I believe you can do that by running a DARS(Degree Audit Report Something(Not called something, but I can’t recall what it stands for)). You do that through MyUCLA and going to Academics and then running the DARS. I am not sure if transfer students have access to it yet but your student adviser during orientation will show you this.
You shouldn’t worry about what classes you need in your first quarter. Just pick upper-division courses of your major and register. T
Personally, I would use BruinWalk to see the grade distribution of that course and students write reviews for that professor. But after your first quarter or so, fellow students will give you tips on who to take and who to avoid.
