why do people think regents will come out tomorrow? have the emails been released a week before in the past?
I know regents is a scholarship but like was it a scholarship people applied for or do they just get recognized by the school?

@Ahmeda13 I basically think you need a 4.0 to be invited to Regents. I had a 4.0 when I applied to UCLA in 2014 and got an invitation to apply then, but was ultimately rejected. Later on, I got my first B and when I apply to UCLA again in 2015, I don’t get an invitation but I wind up getting accepted that year. I don’t know if it’s necessarily the case that your GPA must be a 4.0 though. I vaguely recall someone with a 3.9 being invited, but she had rather extraordinary ECs so maybe that helped.

is there any reason people think the regents will come out today? just curious to see if i should really be expecting something today or not
i talked to someone who received it on the 21st of last year, which meant he received his a day before decisions came out
Lets just not expect anything today, or tomorrow, or any day. When it comes, it comes, don’t put more stress on yourself.
@josh2633 I believe that they’ve historically sent them out a week before admissions decisions are released.
UGH regents invites were sent out on April 13th last year.

Regents: You do not have to be 4.0 to get invited. Many 4.0s dont get invited and some 3.85+ do.
I wish there was some tricks to know if you got into ucla early :-SS

Its so funny when I think about how people are nervously waiting for the decision, then after they get admitted, they worry if they get rescinded, then they are worried about housing, taking class, grades, grad school, job, marriage, kids, life. There are too many things for you to be worried about in the future. So try to relax a little bit, and not think too much about this. It is just a really small part of your whole life.

but then of course you start thinking about how long you have waited for this moment and how hard you have worked to get to this point your brain starts freaking out no matter what you do :(( only 7 more days of this thank god X_X
Last year the regents invitations were sent out around noon on 04/13/2016, the Wednesday one week before the decision week. Today is Friday, one week before the decision week, and its about 4:00PM now, but nobody reported they have received the regents email yet. What happened? I don’t believe no one on CC gets the email this year.
@lexluther96 I received the regents invitation last year on April 15th at 5:00 pm.
@andrewjchang Right! Maybe because it’s Good Friday…? This thread is one of the more active ones, so I find it hard to believe that no one here has received it. Last year, like 15 users received the email.
@andrewjchang I received it the Friday before decision week. They might be changing it up this year, or might be waiting until 5:00 to send them out. That’s the time I received it last year either way.
