@nemohq16 Which school are you gonna go to? I also got into UCSD and UCSB as a CS major.
Can they just tell us something, they are so annoying by painstakingly slowly releasing decisions. Why do they have to wait until the last possible second just to tell us they don’t want to offer us admission? I’m venting because I’ve been patient and I know pretty much I’m 99% getting rejected and I have to say 99% because I’m not 100% because UCI has not offered me any news, and I’m so over UCs playing with my emotions. CSULB also had over 100k applicants this year, and they got back back to me in February, along with SDSU. Every other school has been able to get back to us (I understand UCSD had some sort of unforeseen delay) but UCI has been SLOWLY releasing decisions… It honestly turns me off from this school although I know that admissions has nothing to do with the rest of UCI… just venting because I’m so frustrated. Sorry. This week has been horrible.
And I really wanted to go here hence so much frustration, because it’s just perfect location wise for me and the program is exactly what I’m looking for to finish off undergrad.

@c0llegeguy Although I think UCSD Computer Engineering program is slightly better than UCSB, I feel like I’ll fit in more being at UCSB and plus the environment and atmosphere UCSB has is amazing.
They did the same ■■■ to the freshman this year but yea wasn’t expecting a waitlist…
UCI has probably had the worst rollout of admissions out of all the UC’s imo
@Twenmi have they always been like this? I honestly didn’t think the idea of rolling decisions would be so horrible. Of course I understand there are so many overqualified applicants and not every single qualified applicant will get in, but sheesh can UCI let us know? LET US BE GREAT (somewhere else if that’s the case) lmao

@NoTWong I tagged for CS and got waitlisted too, you’re not alone! I have 3.6 GPA. I was a little surprised I was waitlisted, so I messaged a counselor this afternoon in the portal to see if they even received my TAG. I finished all the pre-reqs that my college offered and kept all the TAG requirements.
@ncamp1234 I totally understand your feeling. UCI has been like that for years. I want to say that it is not just the admission office. There are some issues in UCI executive office.
I feel like everyone was waitlisted!!! I was waitlisted as well… didn’t finish calc so I’m suprised I was even waitlisted. Does anyone know any stats on the waitlist for schools?

crazy seeing tag applicants get waitlisted too! like what was the point? wasting a tag opportunity at a school who wont honor the “guarentee” when another school might’ve /: still pending but accepted to ucsd and ucm so not completely messed up.

I was just happy that I wasn’t denied outright. I still have a slim chance of getting in somewhere else lol. I accepted all of my waitlist offers. Rn UCSD is my #1 but I guess i’ll have to wait till July. Good luck to everyone else!
