@mjyoung I was accepted off tag on March 20. I took the C++ route in order to apply to schools that require it it, like UC Davis. UCI takes either C++ or Java. Just wanted to give you a heads up so you don’t waste time taking unnecessary classes.

I was admitted to ucsd and I am surprised that I got into waitlist in uci lol. I am more surprised that people got tag also waitlist.

How the TAG work? So for international students, they are considered after TAG students?

not sure how that works against international students tho /: ccc students are priority for transfers in general before oos or even international so idk where tag applicants fall in the spectrum, esp if they’re getting waitlisted at this point

My brother was waitlisted for the same major, even though he has a 3.28 GPA, and one less prereq.
If you got waitlisted or rejected with TAG then it’s because your TAG was voided and you were going in raw as a normal applicant. It’s so annoying because there’s so many little things that could cause your tag to be voided like for example not putting the same major on both ur TAG application and uc application would void it 
@Tokiii, for those pending with tag, is it worth messaging the admissions counselor to see if our tags are still valid?
I tagged and pretty sure qualified everything but still pending…

@yelloww Ya I would still ask and see if you can fix the problem. At this point the tags that are still waiting are voided :[ I was a pending tag applicant too but then I found out last week that two of my courses were a duplicate even tho they were completely different courses… so it brought my units down to 59.5… so I found another course I could take which brought it back up to 60units. So the reason why I was waiting was because it was a voided tag… Fast forward to now I found out last night I was accepted!
tl;dr ask to see what the problem was and try to fix the problem and they might still admit you with TAG
@Tokiii dang Sorry about your situation! I have well over 60 units so I’m wondering what it could possibly be at this point. 3.41 gpa in the fall but 3.46 after TAU so it can’t be that. I finished both major pre-reqs and IGETC by last semester. Maybe the english req? I took two AP courses in high school and an extra english honors course at my cc just in case since I know they may only take one. So confusing.

@ncamp1234 my major was Anthro. I completed everything except the calc portion… don’t know why they would need that tho. GPA 3.0 but last years GPA was 2.9.
Does anyone know how hard it is to switch your major from Business Economics to Business Administration? Is it even remotely possible?
