@ncamp1234 I just wanted to read the full post. I’m not calling you a liar. I just want to see the post since it’s literally impossible to get in without calc 2 into an insanely competitive major with a 10-15% admit rate. I also don’t think you or @Irecupero would lie and make all this up, as that would be pretty lame and seems like a waste of time. It’s great that you moved on, I get that admissions is unfair. My friend who got admitted as a freshman had a 3.6 gpa while my cousin who took AP classes with a 3.9 and got denied to UCI. Their SAT scores were in the 1200s. That was annoying to hear when I know my cousin worked damn hard. So I know what unfairness is.
@darkarchang3l For CSU’s it’s May 1st, was hoping to know if i’ve been accepted to the UCs by now to save myself some stress and money…

Mostly aside from being confused as to how they choose to accept or not to accept people missing a pre-req, I was unhappy most about the way they handled informing everyone. ESP waitlisting qualified TAG applicants and leaving them in the dark until the last possible day. I feel for them.
@lrecupero we might have come off as a little upset and it wasn’t my intention if I came off bitter but I agree with you. I’m still so happy for everyone who got in! It just wasn’t us.

@irecupero thanks for the repost. It is odd that she did accepted without calc 2. I believe you. This can happen if you talk to admissions and explain why you couldn’t take a certain class. Nevertheless, it is strange yes. @lovetoast05 was there a special reason why you didnt take calc 2?
I don’t think you were bashing anyone, I also get that your frustrated. You should be because this actually shouldn’t be possible. I just wanted to see the posts.
@ncamp1234 no hard feelings :). I got denied from UCR for freshman applicants last year. It was even messier when their portal glitched and gave some people admissions when they actually got denied. So I personally know how sometimes the UCs mess up really bad and it sucked being played by a glitch.
@ImJustaPerson Okay, I just wanted to make sure no one thought I was bashing them lol. I am so confused honestly and I don’t know what they actually take into consideration when giving out acceptances. Either way, I’m not going to dwell on it. It is what it is. I just needed UC Irvine because of the situation with my daughter. It’s just a bummer. I still plan on appealing, I don’t expect anything but worth a try.
For those that went from CSU>CC>UCI. How many years did it take at CC to transfer?

@hjdbsfds9 Basically when UCI admits you, you will get an email saying you were admitted through with TAG. If you get admitted, with no email regarding TAG, and your provisional condition say’s you don’t need to maintain a 3.4 then you luckily got admitted without TAG. Of course if you’re waitlisted or rejected that means your TAG was voided for some reason.
You can ask if they received your TAG, but It’s annoying because you won’t know the results of your TAG(if it was voided or not) until they admit/waitlist/deny you. At this point a lot of the admitted TAG applicant’s heard back, so it’s possible there may have been an issue with your TAG. So definitely try and contact them to see what’s wrong or if they even received your TAG.

So as of right now, no one has received a rejection from UCI yet?
There might still be acceptances on the way. My brother was waitlisted yesterday with a 3.28 for Pharmaceutical Chemistry, whereas I haven’t heard anything yet and have a 3.91 (for the same major.) We’re both missing 1 Biology though.
@jinyung2 I have a feeling like they’re still releasing admissions. There’s certain majors I haven’t seen anyone post about being accepted into.

@ImJustaPerson HIIIII. Yes I am a real human who really DID get in to UCI WITHOUT calc 2. Didn’t plan on taking it at all, didn’t mention I was even gonna take it. I posted my stats also if that gives you a better idea of the kind of student I am. I was pretty shocked that I got in, but it was the only class I was missing.
When I was applying to schools, I would call the school and ask their counselors questions. I called UCI once and quickly asked someone there what my chances were of getting in without calc 2 - they said my chances were slim but that my application would still get looked at. That was good enough for me so I still applied.
@lrecupero I don’t feel mad or upset or anything! I was/am genuinely rooting for you. I am also bummed that things didn’t work out for you, but no hard feelings! 
ANY NURSING MAJORS HERE ACCEPTED OR REJECTED?? I only see two posts about nursing so I’m wondering if they are still rolling out admissions for nursing or only rejections left
