I’m a first year CS major at a CC (College of San Mateo) and I’m aiming to tag UCI for fall 2019. On assist it suggests I take the java intro and data structures in java to fulfill their SCI 21 and 22 requirement. However, I took a different route and took the equivalent classes in c++ (intro to c++ and data structures in c++). What should I do if I want to be eligible for tag? In the fine print on assist it states that “one year of computer programming courses in an object-oriented or higher-level programming language. For example Python, Java, C++, data structures, assembly language and machine organization.” Does this mean they will accept my c++ classes? The counselors at my school couldn’t give me a straight answer so I hoped that someone here might know! I really don’t want to take the same classes in java, but if I have to, I will. As regards to math, I will have all of them completed by this summer and IGETC completed by spring 2019. Any tips or suggestions?? Thanks!

Anyone know the window in which UCI administers decisions online? For those who have been accepted, did anyone get a notification after 6pm? Want to know if its worth systematically checking the portal every 10 minutes later tonight into the early morning.

Mine has always said “no new messages” and that they will notify me when a decision is reached
