I see on the Newark and New Brunswick websites there is a timeline for admitted students.
It shows during the month of February, accept the school you’ve been admitted into and by March 1st you can start placement testing.
I was also told by the admission department that if I don’t hear a result by March 1st to call and ask.
I think the bulk of decisions will be made by March 1st.

so i checked because i just had a panic attack but if you’re currently a sophomore (i am) and have completed your english and math prerequisites at your cc and passed, you don’t have to take the placement exams. but if you’re freshman, or a transfer students with out any english or math courses completed by the time u enter rutgers, you gotta take this test. pls don’t take my word for it though. i could be wrong. i’ll put the link to the website that i found this on below.

I won’t need to take the placement testing since I’ve completed English and math courses, but I am only a freshman so I wonder if I do need to take some sort of test.
@coolhandluke72 i wouldn’t worry about it too much. i think it’s for transfers that didn’t take ENG 101 and 102 or MAT 101.
Oh good. I took WRT 101 and taking WRT 201 and MAT 150 right now so I should be okay.
The first week of February. I applied to Rutgers Newark. I enrolled in the regular program though, not university college.
I was accepted today into the SAS NB

i just got accepted to SAS NB! They didn’t send me an email. i just checked the status page and i saw that i got in. good luck to everyone and thank for taking the time to reply to me during this process!

Just making sure under your guys’ “required for application review” is it just your college transcript and the application fee?
@coolhandluke72 yes. just the transcript and application fee. some programs require an extra review. I applied for social work and it requires the acceptance to the school and also the program. I got into the Newark campus but I want the special program offered at brookdale because the cost is actually less than Newark and New Brunswick.
I’m getting so nervous. My application has been in since the first week of February however my payment wasn’t processed until the 18th. I have a 3.75 cumulative GPA at a 4 year SUNY school. For my first semester I attended a different 4 year SUNY and got a 3.4. I also have a 32 ACT. I applied to SAS NB and that’s it.
Im also getting super nervous haha. I applied around the same time but my college transcript wasn’t processed until Feb 13, two days before all the paperwork was due. It sucks bad that RutNB is so inconsistent with their application decisions. I know some freshman first year applicants who still haven’t even gotten their decisions even tho the latest date was Feb 29. It’s messy
