My son and I visited for admitted student day on 03/25. We were both impressed with the school and both the main campus and the health campus. It exceeded our expectations. We have visited many schools, and I would say that I felt as if they genuinely cared about us. We had positive interactions with everyone we encountered. Granted, this was our first admitted student day we attended. I felt the day was well-organized and catered to the individual, which was great. We didn’t have any spare time to explore, but the area felt safe for an urban campus. It is definitely an option for my son. Financials will play a part, and their financial commitment has been near the top of all other schools under consideration.
Glad you had such a positive visit! SLU has been such a perfect fit for D22 so it’s easy for me to cheerlead on its behalf. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Does anyone know when decisions for the MLK scholarship will be announced? I’m crossing my fingers for one of my daughter’s best friends, but I don’t want to ask her about it!
DePauw and SLU are on my DD25 list, too. Would love to hear how your son compared the two. We visited DePauw in the summer and planning to visit SLU for Admitted Student Day in March (can’t wait). She’s a bio major so might be looking at it through a different lense; what program was your son looking into?
