I’m applying to Umich as a fall transfer for next year. I am an in-state student, though I currently attend a small, private liberal arts college (pretty prestigious + 7% acceptance rate). I will likely have a GPA of 3.5 - 3.7 at the time of application, I attended the number one ranked high school in Michigan and graduated with a 4.0 unweighted GPA. I was an IB diploma student and got a 38/45. I’m assuming they’ll look at high school being I want to transfer after only two semesters at my current institution. As for extracurriculars, I have done two different volunteering things since I’ve been at my institution, I participate in 2 academic clubs, work 8 hours a week and also maintain a job at home which I work at on vacation. I was also previously accepted to Umich as a first year student last application cycle, but declined to attend as I chose my current institution. I am really looking to move back home and to a school that aligns much more with my interests, but my first semester has been difficult and I think my grades reflect that. I am really nervous about my chances and wondered if anybody had any input?
