I am the SETC Screening coordinator for VA. These auditions happen at the VTA conference site, but are only open to students already out of high school. These auditions (which are the dates listed by austinmt above) are for college students (and sometimes emerging professionals who do not have the professional credits to apply directly for an audition slot at SETC) who want to attend the March conference to audition for professional summer stock opportunities.

If a college student wants to screen to attend SETC they must attend the screening audition in their home state or the state which they attend college. College students who attend college in (or are from) a non-SETC member state are assigned to a screening location. For example… VA is the screening state for NY, NJ, MD, DC, CT, VT, ME, MA, NH, RI. WV is the screenings state for PA, OH, DE, etc…

As prodess & Austinmt said, there are not to be confused with the HS student college auditions that are held at some of the same locations at the same times as the professional SETC screening auditions in the fall.

It can be a little confusing when you go on the websites for the conferences. So I wanted to try to help clarify.
