Fall of 2012 Transfer!

I applied three months ago to Business and I still haven’t heard back! I think it depends on the major though. I called and the lady was pretty much a jerk and told me to just wait.
Has anyone been accepted to business yet? If so can I have your stats
Mine are
Applied as incoming Junior
65 credits
3.9 GPA
President of Commuter Student Org.
P.R. for Up til Dawn
Funding committee board
and some more clubs that don’t really matter.

Accepted!

High School GPA: 3.0
Transfer GPA: 3.14
Applied as incoming sophomore
46 hours
ACT 28
co founder of fashion club, leading fashion column writer for school, two internships in marketing, and a job
Program: Applied for Marketing, got into secondary choice of Philosophy

Surprised I got in, especially in comparison to all the other applicants that have posted…

Also – @dweb23 There’s no more room in the business school I think… I got accepted for my secondary major of Philosophy

I was wondering if anyone knows about asking for an extension to decline or accept the offer? I’m waiting on 2 other schools before I make my decision to go there.

hi, congrats to everyone who got in…
I’m applying for transfer in spring 2013. Do you think I have a chance based on these credentials…
College: siuc (sophmore)
GPA: 3.2
Hours: 53
HS GPA: 3.3
ACT: 22

Not that many xtra curriculars other than inter murals, and a magazine cartoonist, and a few clubs… I’m looking to get into LAS for sociology.

You need 60 transferable credit hours for them to only consider your college record, which is reasonably good. If you apply now with that ACT of 22, you’d likely not get in. Get the extra hours and meet with a college advisor to see exactly what will transfer. Then apply.

Accepted!

College GPA: 3.9 (credit hour: 31, for two semesters)
Applied as incoming sophomore
SAT: 2160
Major: Mathematics

I submitted my application just one day before the deadline. So I’m so surprised that it’s released so quick.

I just got accepted today! So exciting :)

High school: 3.8 UW GPA, 34 ACT
College: University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, 3.74 GPA
25-28 transferable hours (not sure yet of what they will accept)
College of Applied Health Sciences, Kinesiology major

Yay!

Just got rejected.

Applied as a physics major

CC GPA: 4.0 (Calculus 1-3, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Gen Chemistry 1&2, Organic Chemistry 1, Calculus-based Physics 1&2, Gen Biology 1, Microeconomics, English 1&2, Intro to Literature, Italian 1, Intro to Philosophy, Anthropology)

High School GPA: 3.6979 Weighted

Surprised.

Der3k7…are you serious? thats ridiculous…unbelievable, sorry buddy

Der3k7, if you didn’t have 60 semester hours of transferreble credit, they determine your admittance based on whether you would have been admitted as an incoming Freshman looking at your HS GPA and Standardized test scores.

Well I have taken about 70 semester college credits. But I noticed they require junior physics transfers to have all the way up to quantum mechanics completed which is a little ridiculous. Thats’s something you should complete at the school you are transferring to. And I didn’t have 2 semesters of a foreign language completed, only one.

Has anyone not heard back yet? I’m still waiting for my decision.

anyone applied to the industrial design program? I know they carried out interviews a few weeks ago, but has anyone heard back since?

I applied in mid-Feb to LAS and still haven’t heard back :frowning:
I’m an in-state student, legacy like 5 times over, and I’m attending a really competitive private school right now (Grinnell). My GPA here is 3.2 which isn’t great, but my high school GPA was 4.02 and 33 ACT, plus a lot of extracurrics. I definitely could have got in as a freshman but I didn’t apply then.
Already got in to Virginia Tech but there’s no way I can afford it! I’m hoping and praying for UIUC and in-state tuition…
