so you applied after your first semester freshman year?
and is this your second time applying or your first

thanks so much, this did help

Yes I did apply after my first semester of freshman year, and this is my second time applying to U of I as I was denied as a high school applicant. Anyway if you plan to transfer just make sure to look at the transfer hand book to know what classes you need to take. Also use uselect to see which of your classes will transfer from your college.
wow you took 27 credit hours in one semester? summer classes?

Sorry I am confused. So did you admit as an incoming freshman or an incoming sophomore?
Did you earn 27 credits in one semester?
Thank you so much.
This is my second time to apply, too. I really want to go there!

yeah i dont get it either

i understand Gsilent007 applied as a senior in highschool, but i dont undestand how they accumulated 27 credits…

Well I had some college credits from high school, and ap credits so I didn;t get 27 credits in one semester, should have been more clear. Anyway I only took 15 credit hours my freshman year of college.

Stellalam 47 to answer your question I got admitted as a incoming sophomore.

If you have more questions ask away!

thanks for being so cool about all the questions haha…did you still have to turn in act and highschool gpa since you were under 30 credit hours

Yea I did turn them in but they were pretty good i guess

since you heard within 2 weeks is admissions rolling?

my credentials are
high school gpa 3.7
college gpa 4.0 (30 credits)
ACT 31
incoming sophomore

-can you apply between freshman and soph year and get in for the start of sophomore year?

-and if i were to pull a 3.7 gpa after first semester, along with a 3.3 uwgpa highschool gpa, and a 29 act would i be able to get in?

I was accepted two weeks after submitting my application.

46 Credit Hours at my local CC - 3.7 GPA
In high school I had a 3.7 GPA as well with a 29 ACT. I was accepted in high school but declined due to finances. I applied into the LAS.

Thank you so much for your replying~~

I don’t understand. Was there a priority deadline or something? How are people getting accepted already? Does it hurt my chances that I turned in my application later?

Tselliottt- What college/major did you apply to? All of my stuff was in a month ago and I haven’t heard anything back yet, but I also applied as a kinesiology major (College of Applied Health Sciences), and I’m pretty sure that different committees look at applications for different colleges. It seems like most of the already accepted applicants applied into LAS. There was definitely no priority deadline, though. And even if you did apply into LAS, I wouldn’t worry about it yet… it’s still a full 6 or 7 weeks from the “official” notification date. A later decision definitely does not mean a rejection!
