Since my relocation to Houston, I have had more access to information about the situation in New Orleans. I was hopeful that recovery would soon progress. However, given the ongoing situation in the city, I am forced to make an extremely difficult decision: Tulane University cannot hold a fall semester on its campus.</p>

<p>I’m sorry taxguy. It was good of Tulane to make this announcement so quickly, so that students can make their plans,and it is heartening to see so many universities opening their doors to students affected by the hurricane. I see that many of these universities are offering temporary status. I think everyone wishes Tulane all the best and hopes it will be up and running by the Spring semester.</p>
