I posted this to my Facebook friends:
Yesterday I was fortunate to catch up with many friends from the NYC-area community of parents and some of their young-adult children adopted from China. Our amazing hosts, as so many times before, were the always generous and graceful K and T, plus their lovely daughter Z who traveled from D.C. to attend. I was reminded how lucky we are to have been part of the wave of families created this way.
In addition, I was wowed by the adoptees who have taken the former Families with Children from China of Greater New York and transformed it into the Chinese Adoptee Alliance (CAA). Apparently this is the only local FCC group in the US that has done so. They have expanded their reach to Washington, DC and apparently have had queries from adoptees in the Boston area. I know I have many Facebook friends throughout the country who adopted from China way-back-when and I suggest to all of them that they reach out to their now-adult kids to make them aware of this organization which has a FB and Instagram presence (probably Tiktok too but I never go there!).
