I was looking at my D’s framed pictures of her prom and other dances ( in her room), and after the thread on the banned dress, I picked up a photo to get a better look.
My daughter had cleavage! I guess that explains all those foam bras in the consignment bin)

But then I noticed a piece of paper that looked like it had a rainbow printed on it, it was a basic religious tract, which surprised me, but I thought maybe my aunt, who had been a missionary in India for over 40 years through her Presbyterian church had given it to her. ( although that would have been a first).
However the name at the bottom said The Family International.

I looked it up and it sounds like an Armageddon cult.
Have no idea where she got it, and am thinking about the best way to investigate.

Don’t get too worked up - she may have just taken from someone on the street to be polite.
(Maybe the rainbow looked like an equal-rights thing until she read it…)

Maybe I didn’t read carefully enough–is this “tract” in the frame with the photo? Lying around with other “stuff?” I am having trouble with context…

It was placed behind the framed photo- not actually in the frame, just sitting behind it & since my D’s bookcase is very arranged- mementos a certain way- photos and books ( instead of my bookcase where I jam misc papers that I mean to deal with, until the event has passed and it is OK to throw them out), I was concerned that it meant something to her.

However, I went back and studied where it actually was, and decided that since it was with her souvenirs from her trip to Africa, it is more likely that someone gave it to her there, and she never investigated further.

Whew.
I still am going to bring it up somehow, but Im not so worried.
