<p>Are electric fans really needed in dorms? How comfortable/uncomfortable are the desk chairs?</p>
<p>Get a fan. My son lived on the hill his first year and it was hot (very hot) in those little rooms through Sept. Get a fan.
The desk chairs are desk chairs, wooden and straight. My son had no problem with same but if you want to bring your own-that should not present a problem.</p>
