Farewell, my concubine

Here is an excerpt from the ad, posted on New York City’s Craigslist:
[Help Wanted: Concubine - m4w](http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/cas/748073689.html)

The professional tone of the ad suggests it was drafted by either a lawyer or an ibanker.

Ah, middsmith, are you here to answer my ad?

I can’t wait for the frustration-fueled misogynistic rants and the naively oblivious feminist counterattacks about to come in this thread. Or maybe I’ve now preempted and prevented them… damn.

Silly me, I thought Eliot Spitzer’s finally discovered craigslist.

Heh, good find.

What I really want to know is this: who the hell is the concubine going to be sharing the apartment with? I’d like to see what the guy had to do to secure that room. And if she’s sharing the room with someone else’s mistress, or one of the guy’s other mistresses, that could get really interesting.

That was amazing…

Attorney fetish? I have that too!

The link no longer works. It just told me that the title on the listing page would be removed in a few minutes. So someone’s been caught.

Ha… c’mon… I highly doubt a professional lawyer would wish to be someone’s concubine for a “small weekly allowance”. lol

I don’t know if the guy was serious or not but if he was… eh. I am a girl and all but seriously, this is not an issue of feminism at all: there are guys like these because there are idiotic, brainless females that would please them and do what they say (stuff like been a concubine for money).

Tell that to Ashley Alexandra Dupre. Apparently she’s trying to emulate the success of Tila Tequila by agreeing to be on a show on VH1. Say what you want about her career choice, but Ashley wants luv too. Too bad the concubine position isn’t girlfriend or wife track.

hahaha! :stuck_out_tongue: That craigslist ad seriously made my morning (maybe because i’m so tired :/).

what a ****ty compensation for being someones ‘concubine’ who is probably some fat balding middle aged man

Nothing like a touch of could-be satire to brighten up my day.
If it is serious, by all means kudos to the guy for being professional about it.

I was telling my cousin about this and he said to wait until he gets a raise, he’ll have one, too. LOL.
