My friend Amy lives with her Mother and stepfather and goes to highschool in the school district in which they reside. Amy’s father lives in another school district. Amy’s Mothers house and combined income including Amy’s stepfather has a sustantially higher value than Amy’s fathers one bedroon apartment and salary. Amy’s mother wants Amy’s father to agree to have Amy listed as living with her father in the other school district in order to obtain more financial aide from FASFA. Amy’s high school guidance counselor said that this is done all the time and should be no problem. Amy thinks her father should agree to do this. What do you think?
