I’ve worn pajama pants out as pants quite often- and I am not ashamed of that. Generally only to the grocery store and the like.
Do I care that it’s not fashionable? Nope. It’s comfy and I’m not trying to impress anyone while buying orange juice.

Hideous! And LOL they have actual spikes on the heels - I think they are some sort of fetish shoes.
Oh, those are darned ugly alright … but that’s the toned-down, older lady version! I’m thinking of these kind of things:

If you are over 4, you should not be wearing pajama pants off your property.

romani… fashionable in spite of herself
The shoes in #223 look like regular every day shoes for daytime wear. Maybe it’s a marker of where I live.
Really? All chunky and twisted like that? Sort of like they’re meant for non-human feet?
They’re around where I live, too, but I seriously thought they were some game-of-telephone misunderstanding of Western fashion, and the girls wearing them to be all ritzy would arrive at their US colleges and suddenly realize they looked totally FOB. But noooo, I’m the one who’s out of touch … ha, well, I’m used to that!
OK, here’s a non-Pinterest version of what I mean:

Momonalaptop, I first saw PJ pants in public in HK 40 years ago. However not in an area westerners normally frequent. When they became a thing here, I wondered if the style had jumped the Pacific.
Oh man, now I’m going to get $1000 shoes in my facebook feed again! :((
The WSJ is about silky looking pajama pants. Not the shapeless plaid flannel types. And I agree with MOWC. Nothing beyond grabbing the mail and running back in the house.
I live on a state highway and have a lane to the mailbox…not doing pajama pants to the mailbox. I’m with MOWC too. pajamas should be on toddlers or in the house. Maybe it’s because I’m old. Remember when it was horrifying to let one’s bra straps show? Now it seems to be a fashion statement.
I call that the Pre-Madonna era.
One used to debate internally as to whether it would be more embarrassing for the person to go around with it showing or to be told that it was out.
Now I’m getting the Louboutins in my side bar
:(( … oops, wrong thread, I thought I was on the football thread
A non-clothing fad I’d like to see die instantly is selfie-sticks.
We couldn’t turn anywhere in a major tourist destination and not see some idiot w stick extended posing for a selfie, obliviously blocking foot traffic.
Most of the fads I dislike I saw up-thread, except I didn’t see mention of excessive cleavage and the exposed side boob. I hate both of those.
I don’t mind strapless wedding gowns as much as I mind the sexy wedding gowns. I’m okay with sleeveless, except on female news broadcasters. To me the equivalent would be a male newscaster taking off his jacket and just wearing a shirt and tie.
And here’s the one I don’t expect to get much support. I would like to see an end to outrageously expensive handbags.
