I am wearing a long-sleeve sweater today and am continually pushing the sleeves up. That made me think of how much I love 3/4-sleeves. That’s nearly all I buy and wear them year round (it’s usually warm here in Texas).
A few years ago, brooches were all the thing around here. I am not a jewelry person but I really liked brooches. That only seemed to last one year. I miss them.
There are a few trends that have hung around way too long. Animal prints is one. I never bought one single item, but it just won’t go away. Another is the low-waisted pant; they just don’t work for my body type.
High heels. Even after we know how bad they are for us, even after we know how painful they are for us, they still are the expectation with many clothes. I hate them.
Boyfriend jeans…especially the ones with fake tears. and yes agree with Pizza on the booties thing…and even more dislike rolled up, fake torn boyfriend jeans with booties.
I REALLY hate it when girls wear cowboy boots with short baby doll dresses. Those girls are going to cringe in a few years when they look at their photos.
Tattoos. Particularly the big, loud, multi-colored ones on arms, necks, or other places that always show. I just cringe when I see them. I cannot believe that people would mutilate themselves in that way.
I caught Say Yes to the Dress the other night. Here are all these women trying on lovely strapless dresses but the whole look is absolutely ruined by the ugly tattoos on their arms. Hideous.
Yes, high heels–gives podiatrist and chiropractors and orthopedic surgeons, but how many centuries will women keep wearing these implements of torture?
I hate ankle pants. Back in the day, we called them flood pants. Now they’ve taken over the stores making it hard to find regular length pants.
Not a fan of sheer. Don’t like it when people wear brightly colored bras and I can see them.
I love low-waisted pants. If high-waisted, pleated pants come back, I’m in trouble. They make me look about 10 pounds fatter than I am. And I have the photos to prove that.
