<p>I am really excited about this “find” yesterday and thought I would share. First, you probably won’t be interested in this thread if you don’t love makeup, so you can skip!</p>
<p>I’ve always wanted to try false eyelashed for special occassions or maybe just going out for fun weekend nights. I’ve tried to apply the separate lashes (from Walgreens) myself, but was cussing within 3 minutes and took them back. I didn’t want the spider look, just something between real and “bling” eye opening. I know I could go to Merle Norman and have them applied (and last 2 weeks), but I don’t want to take the time nor have them on for 2 weeks.</p>
<p>OK…I went to a party and the company is called YouniqueProducts.com. They sell these 3D fiber lashes. You can make them as little or thick and lushes as you want. I tried them this morning before work just to see what it would do. I did just one swipe…just on the outer 3rd of my eyelashes and it really works! I would do more for the evenings, and I highly doubt I’d do at work again, just anxious to try it out. what I did looks real, but just looks like I have longer eyelashes.</p>
<p>To apply: You put on your mascara and let it dry. then you apply what looks like a clear mascara and before it dries, you take the other tube and apply in one stoke the fibers, then apply another coat of the clear stuff. You keep adding more layers as desired, but you can only do one swipe for each layer (unlike what we do with mascara), and then apply the clear stuff…or it will flake. You can buy an eyelash comb (recommended), but I didn’t need it this morning for the little I did…but I can definitely see having to do it with more than 2 coats. They sell them for $20, but you can buy at Ulta for $10…I checked this morning. The kit (2 tubes) is $29. She said it would last a couple months (but that is using it every day, which I don’t intend to do). However, If you just let it sit for months it might dry up, so I will probably use on the weekends.</p>
<p>OK…have fun if you want to try… Oh…and it’s not water proofed and just comes off with regular makeup remover. Also, when you start the strokes, you start from the middle of your lashes, not down at the end like mascara.</p>
<p>Thank you for the review! I have heard many mixed opinions on this product, so I haven’t been too tempted to try it. I was not blessed with lovely long lashes, so I am always looking for something to amp them up a little. </p>
<p>The saleslady had one without and one with as she was selling it. She had enough on that it looked good…but did look like fake eyelashes…but better actually. I thought for $29 it would be worth it. I will be using it tomorrow evening and making them longer and thicker and will give you another review (now aren’t y’all lucky?) </p>
<p>I have several friends who swear by Younique. Also, for every day, I lucked out by buying a drugstore brand on the fly and have been getting compliments ever since. I went back to my old brand and you could see the difference-it just wasn’t as good. So I heartily recommend Revlon Grow Luscious original or waterproof. I have not tried the plumping one.</p>
<p>Thanks sseamon…I’m going to buy that today. I don’t want to wear the Younique on a daily basis…I don’t want that look at work, and it does take too much time to put on. Not alot (maybe 5 minutes), which I don’t mind for a weekend evening out or special occassion…but just for the day…no!</p>
<p>Went out this weekend to a nice restaurant and thought I’d try it. It really works, and my lashes were about 3 times as long and luscious as usual. I could have made them more, but decided to stop. I think for a formal evening, I would go more. I did two swipes…then a 3rd on the outer ends of my lashes. </p>
<p>For those of you who are interested, the gel applicator you put on several times to really coat your eyelashes, then immediatuly put on the fibers…the instructions say one swipe, but I youtubed it and a few women were doing it a couple. You do have use the gel immediatlely after, too. I went out an bought an eyelash comb and it really made a difference, because you will get a couple lumps. Anyway, it’s a nice inexpensive (in my opinion) way for lashes without the inconvenience of being false and you can make them looks as real or false as you want. It came off easy-peasy with ponds cold cream and washing.</p>
