Faux or not? Analyzze the competing books.

This question is slightly different. I am not asking about the Kaplan book they sell in bookstores. I want to know in terms of rank (1-being the best, 3-not worth as much time).

Kaplan COURSE books (perhaps with online syllabus) V. the big fat Barrons Book V. Collegeboard Blue Book

This is for the SAT.

Kaplan Course books - 3, total baloney, waste of 30 hours, golden rule doesn’t help much; simulated exams might be useful as you get good practice

Barron’s big fat book - 3, horrible IMO, book was written a long long time ago (possibly in the 50s or something) and the layout looks about that old also, can’t imagine how people go through hundreds of pages of the tiny, dry text, practice exams no good; if you learn the 3,500 words, you’ll be ready for the SAT and GRE!

CollegeBoard Blue book - 1, a must have, end of story

Other resources worth considering: CollegeBoard online course (6 more practice tests w/ essay scoring), RocketReview (good writing/CR IMO), Direct Hits (vocab), Sparknotes vocab
