<p>My S chose the explain a few in depth approach and it worked for him.</p>
<p>My son listed a genre of books, with examples of titles – books with apocalyptic themes. He briefly explained why.</p>
<p>Advice: take all these little questions really seriously (i.e., use them to say something about YOU). Ted O’Neill once remarked in an interview that the adcom often learns more from the short-answer and short-essay questions than from the often too highly polished main essays. People tend to let their defenses down and reveal more about themselves in the little boxes.</p>
