Favorite Concept Album

Mine is either Sgt. Pepper or Dark Side of the Moon/The Wall (depends on the day). I have gained a greater respect for Green Day’s American Idiot, but there are two or three songs that are too opera rock for me.

Sgt. Pepper is up there because it was the first prominent experimental album, and influenced bands like Pink Floyd. I like the psych rock genre more on concept albums.

the downward spiral

Between the Buried and Me - Colors
Dream Theater - Scenes from Memory
Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy
Estatic Fear - A Sombre Dance
Persefone - Core

Definitely Sgt. Pepper’s, but also:

The Wall, Pink Floyd (Great Musical, too)

In The Wee Small Hours, Frank Sinatra

Stole my answer XD

The Human Equation - Ayreon. Probably the epitome of rock opera.

Out of recent albums, The Suburbs by Arcade Fire is phenomenal.

Sgt Pepper sucks.

Klaatu - Hope

^I just looked it up on Amazon. Better check it out

“It’s Complicated Being a Wizard” by Portugal the Man.

Is that a fact, rymd?

Favorite would be Mars Volta’s debut and all three of The Dear Hunter’s albums.

The Dear Hunter stuff

Dream Theater’s Metropolis Part 2: Scenes From a Memory is probably my favorite album of all time. Dance of Eternity is just insane.
