Favorite Flats?

I need some flats to wear with leggings or skinny jeans. I was interested in the Tieks but I don’t want to spend that much

I was thinking less than 100 dollars. Wondering if anyone had a favorite

Thanks!

Vince Camuto round toe ballet flats, at the Vince Camuto store site (Ellen). These are actually my daughter’s favorite, rather than mine. They fit the price range you are asking about. I hope this is okay to post! (I don’t have any connection with the designer, nor with retailers.)

People make recommendations on clothes brands here all the time. I think it is okay. Will check those out -Thanks!!!

I can’t wear a true ballet flat for very long. The lack of any support is hard for me. I don’t know how your feet are.

Saying all that I like the Sam Edelman Felicia flat. Comes in dozens of colors

Any flats from sam Edelman, they have a padded sole which is comfortable.

Thanks!!

I like Ara flats. They have nice rubber soles which make them less slippery and not so hard on my feet. I also think they are nice looking. You can get them on sale on Amazon.

I’ve had good experience with Cole Hann’s Zerogrand Stage ballet flats,eSpirit’s Gessica ballet flats, Kor’s Fulton flats. Do read reviews to get a better idea of the fit for internet ordering. I have switched to a standing desk so I’m literally on my feet from 9-5 and ballet flats are the lightest shoes. Driving mocs with proper padding are equally comfortable.

I am looking at all these -thanks again!! I live mostly in athletic shoes or barefoot.

I bought two pairs of Hush Puppies (silver and black) flats for our trip to Europe last summer. My shoes usually have a heel and I wasn’t sure these shoes would feel good on my feet with lots of walking. The silver pair was a half size larger than I usually wear and felt the most comfortable. Being silver, I didn’t think I’d wear them much but they ended up being my favorite pair. Both under $100.

I’ve come to a conclusion that athletic shoes work best if they are 1/2-1 size bigger. You can tighten laces if you need a snug fit and loosen them if you want to wear thicker socks or add a comfort liner. I like to keep them loose enough so I don’t have to tie laces every time I’m heading out for a run.

Thanks all. Sometimes I have an outfilt ready to go and discover I don’t have any shoes that work. So do most of you wear socks with flats? or go without?

Without. Always. For most shoe choices except books and athletic shoes. I put baby powder in the inner sole so my feet are comfy and dry.

No socks. If it’s that cold…I wear boots. With socks.

I have some nice Cole Haan flats that I love. Also, for simple nd inexpensive…I have some easy spirit and mootsie tootsie flats that are good.

I am a Tieks fan, but I hear you on the cost. I stick to the lower range of their inventory. J Crew has some good, comfortable flats, too.

Athletic/running shoes should always be purchased at least 1/2 size bigger than street shoes.

Nobody wears socks with flats. I mean you can if you want to but it’s not needed nor looks flattering.

I’m with @thumper1 on this, if I want to wear socks, I wear boots or dressy looking sneakers. If you need socks, either it’s too cold for flats or your flats aren’t comfortable enough.

I second (or third) Cole Haan ballet flats. Super comfortable and available in many colors. I wear them with no-show sock liners.

I always stop by the Cole Haan store at the outlets to see if they have any discounted flats.

I’m on the Cole Haan bandwagon as well. Wearing a navy pair today that I bought on promotion at Nordstrom. along with an identical black pair, last summer.

I can’t wear true, thin-soled flats either, but I’ve been happy with a few Easy Spirit flats. I have some “dressy” ones and some more casual ones.

Thanks all. This is very helpful

J Crew has cool round toe and pointed toe d’orsay flats, often cheap when in the sale section.
