We drink a lot of sparkling water in our house. Spindrift is one of my favorites, as it has just a hint of real juice in it. Additionally, I’m addicted to Fresca, particularly since I quit drinking seven years ago. Yes, it’s probably terrible for me, but I love it.
Another vote for Spendrift. It’s available at Costco if you have one near you. My favorite flavors are grapefruit and blood orange.
Another option is an Arnold Palmer - heavy on the iced tea and light on the lemonade.
I’m a spindrift person. I was at a brunch a few months ago where they served cranberry spindrift and it was awesome, but I can’t figure out where they got it. No store I’ve checked has it.
I drink tea in the morning (typically English Breakfast or Irish Breakfast) and lots and lots of seltzer during the day – with an occasional Diet Pepsi (never Coke LOL) mixed in as a treat.
I drink coffee in the mourning, a cup of Yogi Antioxidant Green Tea in the afternoon, and LOTS of plain water all day long (up until just before bed). I honestly don’t crave any other beverages (although I enjoy a glass of wine or a beer here & there).
My S stopped drinking alcohol a few years ago, and he drinks a lot of flavored waters. He orders different kinds online … he says that it’s an adventure!
Tea, tea, and more tea. I’ll do black or green in the morning (and I love the Green Hot Cinnamon Spice from Harney & Sons…similar to the one that @worriedmomucb likes), then green or white in the early afternoon, and then herbal tisanes or hisbiscus-based teas the remainder of the day. All unsweetened, though one could add moderate amounts of sweetener. And, for my other low-cal beverage of choice, water.
A while back I posted on the HealthyHabits thread that once or twice a week, I treat myself to a Coke “float” that totally satisfies my sweet tooth and desire for something ice-cream-like with almost no calories. In a tall glass:
A couple of pumps of sugar-free Torani chocolate syrup (or whichever flavor you like)
2 tablespoons (or a bit more) heavy cream or half-and-half
I can diet, caffeine-free Coke (or whichever soda you prefer)
With a long spoon, stir the syrup and cream while slowing pouring in the soda. It will create an incredibly rich, creamy foam that will start to bubble up quickly. Enjoy sipping or spooning the foam while slowly stirring/drinking the rest of the soda in batches until gone.
I gave up all soda long ago, but a friend on a keto diet made me one of these, and I now have a guilty secret.
