We had a very nice dinner recently at Telepan http://www.telepan-ny.com/menus when we went to the opera. The service was impeccable. My husband arrived late (stuck in traffic) and they didn’t blink an eye, but let us order for him and held it till he got there. My sister-in-law forgot our tickets and they let her use their printer to print out new ones.

We’d considered going to Bar Boulud [Bar Boulud ::: London ::: New York](http://danielnyc.com/barboulud_hub.html) , but couldn’t get a reservation and the menu didn’t actually look ideal for my sister-in-law who does not eat meat (but does eat fish).

I really like Molyvos. It’s Greek/Mediterranean with great fish, but plenty of other choices. They have a $37 pre or post theater menu. [Molyvos | Menus](http://www.molyvos.com/molyvos-menus/)
