Favorite Sites for House Hunting

We are about to list our house and I want to make sure we don’t miss any. Thanks! ~1mm

Wonderful house in a college town. Charming older neighborhood, less than a mile walk to campus, restaurants, theater and libraries. Lots of canoeing, kayaking and hiking nearby. (Also world-class flyfishing.) The summers are fabulous and winters aren’t tooooo cold. What else are you all looking for? ;)

I don’t have any help for you on listing sites but head over to the gardenweb forums and check out the buying and selling forum. You can often get good ideas on what to do or not to do when selling your house.

Where are you? It sounds like a great place to retire to!

My favorite: realtor.com

<a href=“realtor.com® | Homes for Sale, Apartments & Houses for Rent”>realtor.com® | Homes for Sale, Apartments & Houses for Rent;

Maybe I am missing something, but I have to know whether it has bedrooms, bathrooms and a garage. Charming may indicate needs repair; if it has a new/updated kitchen and baths those are important.

Are you asking about where to list it or the listing itself?

Aren’t there FSBO sites?

Neighborhood is charming and older; home is elegant and mid-century (Prairie Style and updated). Other questions are addressed in the listing. We have agent who will get us in the mls for a flat fee, then offers all her other services a la carte (generally at an hourly rate). We will pay a buyers’ agent the standard commission.

The postlets website, which we are using, will automatically feed listings into zillow, frontdoor, realtor.com etc. I want to make sure there aren’t any popular ones it misses.

I’ll have to check out GardenWeb; I’m already on their other forums.

I’ll pm you onward, but have a realtor coming so had better take care of a few things. (The first call came before I realized the listing had hit the mls!)

Best wishes with a quick sale. I have sold two homes FSBO as a military wife.

Thanks, MD Mom. We’ve sold two other houses, but have always gone the traditional route. Our timing could be better but we thought we’d give it a shot and if it doesn’t happen, try again in the spring.

Here’s the best thing about selling a house: You only need one buyer.

Thank you for that. :)
