We could use another thread…but…the commercials really aren’t the best. Usually they are very creative and fun…these are…meh.

The only commercial we liked was for NFL 100 - laughed aloud when Brady handed Mayfield his 5 rings (“Hold these”) before joining the fray.

Oh I understand the controversy of Maroon5 and other supporting Colin Kaepernick. But the minority shield comment…no.

Another vote for Bruno Mars. I love Maroon 5 but I thought their performance tonight was just meh. The only commercials we have laughed at have been the T-Mobile ones.

I haven’t watched the NFL for two years but I did catch the NFL100 commercial on Twitter, I can’t imagine there was a better commercial tonight, it was fantastic!

For me, nothing will ever top Prince’s show. After that, I’d have to give it to Gaga, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry. (Yep - I loved Katy Perry’s show) I’m sure Springsteen was awesome too, I just don’t remember it. I probably wasn’t watching.

@Nrdsb4 - yes, that was Prince in a downpour, still playing electric guitar like a master. I’ve read that’s hard to do in the rain. (Oh, and he was in heels too :)) )

When the producer of the half-time show talked to Prince just prior to the show, he asked Prince if he was okay with playing in the rain. Prince supposedly asked “Can you make it rain harder?”

I liked the spectacle of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. I don’t like Bruno Mars’ music, but he put on a good show. Ditto for Prince.
