[Arts & Letters Daily - ideas, criticism, debate](<a href=“http://www.aldaily.com/]Arts ”>http://www.aldaily.com/ )

I use this as my homepage. Day in and day out, these folks deliver stuff that (unlike so much of what’s on the 'net) is really worth reading.

Here’ one.

[NPR : National Public Radio : News & Analysis, World, US, Music & Arts](<a href=“http://www.npr.org/]NPR ”>http://www.npr.org/ )

And within npr, I love their essays the most.

[This I Believe : NPR](<a href=“http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4538138]This ”>This I Believe : NPR )

Well, you two claimed my top two (A&LD is also my homepage), so I’ll move to my third:
[The Morning News](<a href=“http://www.themorningnews.org/]The ”>http://www.themorningnews.org/ )

Eclectic, but there’s always something good there. Updated twice during the work week but only once for the whole weekend.

Tina Brown’s new website, the Daily Beast, is one I check daily. I learn all sorts of things–did you know that Lamborghini sales are down 15%?!!

I look at the online city newspaper where my son attends school. He has no idea what’s going on around him, but I do.

Runningahead.com and Facebook

reddit.com always has something interesting.

You can subscribe to subforums to get what’s new in science, politics, or um, “offbeat.”

ellemenope: That reminds me, do you know the difference between an investment banker and a pigeon?

The pigeon can still make a deposit on a Lamborghini. :D

The Comics Curmudgeon… makes fun of all those old strips in the paper. If you are for some reason still reading For Better Or For Worse, you won’t be after the snarking here.

I really enjoyed the snarking at For Better or Worse. They were right on about what was bothering me about the strip at towards the end there.

My favorite sites.
[Fine Homebuilding - trusted residential construction, home design, and renovation articles, videos, magazines, and books](<a href=“http://www.taunton.com/finehomebuilding/]Fine ”>Fine Homebuilding - Expert home construction tips, tool reviews, remodeling design and layout ideas, house project plans, and advice for homeowners ) I like their breaktime section, and there’s stuff that supplements the magazine and access to old articles.

[xkcd - A Webcomic - Faust 2.0](<a href=“http://xkcd.com/]xkcd ”>http://xkcd.com/ ) the only webcomic I read with any regularity.

[Pandora Radio - Listen to Free Internet Radio, Find New Music](<a href=“http://pandora.com/]Pandora ”>http://pandora.com/ ) great way to discover more music.

One of these days I’m going to have my dream kitchen:
