I’m applying for a summer program (An Astronomy camp in Alfred) and I’m not sure how to submit my recommendation letters. I was required to have two, and I have both of them in hard copy. I could mail them, but if I do they wont get there by the application deadline. Or I could fax them, but that would mean opening the letters, which, while it doesn’t say anything on the website against reading them, a lot of programs highly restrict students possessing their own letters. I tried emailing/calling the summer admission office, but they’re not open on the weekend. Advice?
I don’t know when the deadline is but if it isn’t within the next few days it’s probably best to wait for them to get back to you. If there isn’t time or if they don’t respond, maybe try asking your guidance office to fax the letters so you are not opening them.
The deadline is today x(
Yikes, sorry!
Well, in that case, fax them yourself. Just check again to make sure they don’t have any rules against seeing your own recommendations.
It’s just a summer camp program for HS students, not a regular program for their fulltime college students . The admissions rules aren’t anywhere as strict because no one (e.g. US Dept of Education, USNWR) tracks summer camps for HS students.
