Fear of being deferred

Does anyone else have this massive, massive fear of being deferred?

I have a 3.55uw GPA
2100 Sat (800 w 650 cr 650 m)
1500 community service hours
5.2 weighted gpa

Im really concerned about my uw gpa

anyone know the stats of some deferred people?

NEU loves to deffer people.

I bet that a lot of people are expecting it to happen :/

Can you explain how an UW GPA of 3.55 grows to 5.2 weighted gpa? Seems impossible.

Also, 1500 community service hours seems very high - assming you started when you were in 9th grade that would be 10 hours/week for three years straight.

Onecot

Our school has a 6 point scale for weighted, 4 for uw. If it was the standard 5 my weighted would be like a 4.3.

And for your community service remark, close…

I volunteer at a senior citizen home - 9 hours a week, all 52 weeks a year. Been doing so for 2 years

On top of that I organize manage and run a team for the brain tumor society - 20 weeks a year, 3 hours a week.

Then I do Topps soccer - helps children with mental disabilities - every Saturday during the fall an spring for 2 hours.

So you were close. Try not being so skeptical pal

I have:

Class Ranking: 75 out of 750
Cumulative GPA: 3.7083
Academic Core GPA: 4.1176
Weighted Cumul. GPA: 4.7386

SAT: 1750
From Florida!
300 Service Hours
Graphic Designer
Tons of extracurriculars…NHS, MU ALPHA THETA, DECA, Varsity Tennis Team

NEED ADVICE!

try not hijacking threads to begin with…

You should not be afraid of being deferred or even denied. Life is too short to get stressed out about such things. Now, as far as your stats are concerned, they are pretty strong, so you would probably get admitted as long as you have some leadership and show initiative.

Applying ED to duke…pretty much banking on being deferred…

Good luck!!

I got deferred and got in second round with an 1890 and 3.7 gpa. If you get deferred just keep your grades up and send em a letter saying how cool you are getting good grades and doing cool things and that you would definitely go to NU if you got in. No biggy.

Didn’t you apply ED to Boston University? Northeastern clearly isn’t your top choice anyway.

And this is now like the third time I’ve seen you be rude about other people’s chance posts. Chill out.
