Feasible to complete preHaas classes while completing premed courses simultaneously?

Being the unsure person that I am, I’m considering both fields and would like to know if it is feasible to complete the Haas prerequisites (including the 7 breadth requirements by the end of sophomore year) while taking premed courses.

Has anyone done this before? Success/horror stories?

Thank you. =)

Big gamble. Most of the time, premed preHaas students much prefer to do Haas then premed. The premed prereqs are hard and they damage GPAs. GPA is one of the biggest things when trying to get into Haas.

As a result, you will have difficulties getting into Haas. If you don’t get into Haas, it is probably because you did bad on your premed prereqs. This will diminish your chances of getting into medical school.

In the end, I would advise you to pick a major because you like it, not because it may be profitable,

I know some people who are doing it, BUT are doing their premed courses after they are accepted into Haas. Doing your premed classes during your first 2 years is a major gamble. You might up with a GPA too damaged for med school and Haas.

Yes, it’s feasible. I know several people who are Business and MCB (CDB) double majors.

what do these people declare as their major, since haas isn’t a guaranteed thing?

On the premed end:
A premed can major in anything they want as long as they meet the premed requirements (whether or not they are required by their majors).
Premeds tend to be biology majors, as biology prereqs overlap with premed requirements.

On the Haas end:
Haas prereqs and Econ prereqs are fairly similar so switching is fairly feasible

let’s say all goes good and well and i get into haas.
i have two years left as a junior and am going to start upper division business classes.

how did these people fulfill their business classes while at the same time getting their premed requirements done?
