I’m thinking about going for national AP scholar but by the end of this junior year I will only have taken 5 AP exams…

Would it be feasible to start studying now for AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, and AP Human Geography?

I will be aiming for 5’s of course.

I’m self-studying for AP Comparative Government, but that’s for an extremely specific reason (a certain program requires I take it to participate… not sure I want to do the program but I enjoy learning the material and I would like to have the option available). Honestly, the award really doesn’t matter so much in the eyes of the adcoms. If you have the tons of extra time required to self study for 3 AP exams, there’s most likely something missing from your application (clubs? leadership? more volunteering?) that can and will matter MUCH more. Adcoms want to see that you’re interesting and will have something to add to the college environment, and taking three extra classes doesn’t. These APs are also widely known as the easiest ones and adcoms will see right through that. Don’t refer to five AP exams as “only”… it’s about as many as anybody else that you’re competing with has taken. Take just one, it’ll show initiative but it won’t suck up too much time that could be spent better elsewhere.
