And although they did talk of Tobias’ thoughts earlier on in the passage, they talk more of Enrique’s past experiences and how those experiences change how he treats his apprentice. I think it could have went either way but I think it was worded as the narrator talks more of one character’s feelings than anothers, but i could easily be mistaken</p>
