February Is For Lovers!

Nope, not what you’re thinking!

February is known for <3’s and love. I thought it might be fun to share what in our lives we are loving right now. It might be a new product. It might be a new food item. It might be an activity that is special to this time of year. It might be a show you are watching or a new author you have discovered.

We have a lot of downers on our plates right now. What are you “loving” right now?!

I’ll start:
Chicken paprikash soup from a local market - omg, so good!
The Hulu series Freeks and Geeks - 45 minutes of laughs and smiles each night I watch.
Sunshine - on these very cold, often gray days of winter in Ohio, SUN makes a difference.

I’m into peanut clusters, they sit in the drawer and call my name at work.

House related stuff- been watching House Hunters, browsing local listings, looking at a floor plan book. Not looking to move or build though!

Haha! The Southern Charm reunion and all the tea that surrounds it!

@deb922 I don’t know what that is!! Is it a TV series??

I’ll also add Zillow. I am a Zillow addict.

Book of the Month Club!!! Very fun to choose a book (or more) each month. And, while I have (multiple) kindles, I still prefer hard bound books with real pages.

I’m bingeing West Wing, hadn’t watched it back in the day because I had little kids.

I am pretty sure I have watched every single Led Zeppelin video on youtube over the last 8 months or so, some many more than one time. Their music makes me happy, and seeing the band members age and take on different projects is also interesting.

Reality tv series on Bravo. The regular season was kinda boring. The reunion was gold! Crazy town! But wouldn’t mean anything unless you watch it.

I’m normally watch almost no TV, but I’m a work in progress. We’ve been through a couple of series.
I got Valentine’s Day roses from my husband, today. He ordered them early because everything is so delayed. Well, the one thing he wanted to take awhile didn’t.
A CC fried told me you can by Masala sauce that’s pretty good at the grocery store. We’ve been “loving” it once a week for the last several weeks.

@1214mom what brand of masala?

I’m definitely loving that we opted to come to FL camping. H and I have had long walks outside admiring nature (flora and fauna). It’s very different than PA. We do this pretty much every February (somewhere south) and each year it sparks that same love again. We may be at the same park we’ve been at multiple times, but we’ve found some new things to do - different walks, different places to kayak - all without major contact with people.

I love my Saturday morning breakfasts after my long workout - jalepeno Cheetos and a great big Reese’s Santa snowman. Breakfast of champions!

I love, love, love being cocooned in fleece. I love snuggling in my recliner in my sweats under a heated fleece blanket and another on top. I sleep with a heated mattress pad - just a level 2/10 to take the chill off the sheets on fleece sheets and under my comforter and weighted blanket. (My bedroom is 50-55* this time of year.)

I love my Friday naps. We haven’t been on vacation and I have so much leave time that I work half days on Friday. I eat lunch, climb into bed and snooze for 2 hours. Get up and it’s time for my afternoon snack!

Does it seem like everything revolves around sleeping and eating?!

I really love hearing from older S. He is in a good place. He loves his job. Whatever it is he does, it is right up his alley. I can’t remember ever being that excited about a job. Younger S is doing very well too, but I will be anxious I think until he finds a permanent job after graduation (in 2+ years). If my kids weren’t doing so well, I would have lost it long ago during this pandemic.

We’ve become obsessed with taking pics of our sunsets every night; we moved to our retirement home last year, and we’d forgotten how much we missed seeing them.

I’m loving this live webcam; I can hardly look away.

I’m loving my long walks. The lake changes every single day. I feel very lucky to be within walking distance to the water.

I also take pics almost every day.

@abasket, it’s called Maya Kaimal Tikka Masala. We get it at Harris Teeter. We also got their store brand, but like the other so much we haven’t tried it.

I’m loving being retired! I only set an alarm on the days I stream Sunrise yoga and on Saturday when I do my long run with my running buddies. I like doing those things! I’m loving a lot of the books I am reading as well as having time to try new recipes.
