I have been up to rather a lot since I sent in my apps. Do you recommend sending a letter to my #1 school with my updates? If so, should I send or email it?

i just mailed NYU an update letter. also, just say a simple thank you to the school for considering you for admission. a simple thank you and a quick update on the activities you’re most passionate about can go a long way.

conventional wisdom here on CC seems to be that if you do decide to send something, make it a letter. It shows a little more effort on your part. But more importantly, it’s much more likely to make it to your file.

Do you think a Feb letter could hurt? I wrote some up to my schools thanking them for review and telling them that I started another job. Short and sweet. Worth sending?

yea i also have the same question…do letters really help a lot? I dont have any big updates, but I have updates on the activities I’m really involved in…would they even read it this far into the selection process?
