This takes the cake. I hope he sues the airline all of us.
You might want to post this in the emotional support animal thread.
O.M.G. Sitting here in my pjs and comfy slippers, I’m gagging just thinking about this.
@VeryHappy Sorry! You weren’t eating at least.
@jym626 They didn’t say it was from an animal. I think they are saying it’s from a dog not human to soften it up.
They said it was from either an ESA or service dog that got sick on the plane. That article says a golden retriever puppy.
Disgusting, but how did he not notice before he sat down? Bleh!
Dh flies regularly on Delta-has platinum status with them. He’s flying later today - just sent him that article as a little reminder to him to be aware before he sits down! how did something that obviously had to smell go unnoticed by the cleaning crew as well as the flight crew?
According to the article, they first said it was a german shepherd, then an elderly man who got sick during landing then a golden retriever. They offered the most metaled description about the man. I go with the man.
Gross! What crappy treatment!
It didn’t go unnoticed. The cleaning crew didn’t want to clean up. They probably also said, Not my problem! like all the others. Cleaning up feces may not be in their contract. They may need a hazmat suit ![]()
Yeah, or sh*tty treatment ![]()
I’m glad it’s making the news. Maybe other people/companies will see it and learn from the experience.
I can’t imagine (sigh). I think I’d have preferred to take pics and stay behind rather than sit in/around it for two hours, but if one must be at Point B, that’d be a hard call to make.
@iglooo, sorry, I misread that. Even so, how did the flight crew not notice after the cleaning crew left that it still hadn’t been cleaned? I’m guessing they knew it was still there but were more concerned with getting home since it was the last flight out. I hope all involved were reprimanded.
I think they ought to be fired, actually. Both cleaners who shipped it and caning crew that didn’t stop the boarding until a crew could fix it.
That’s too bad - ugh! I’ve always had good experiences flying with Delta. On my last trip, they went overboard helping me when I told them about my leg injury. On each flight, they upgraded me to a seat with more room and let me board first. They also had a wheelchair waiting for me on the jetway - one time, my name was even printed on a sign on the chair!
OMG. I would have run to the nearest hot shower and thrown out those clothes. This guy should get 5 figures in settlement. 50,000 miles is an insult
A german shepherd?? In first class? https://www.rt.com/usa/443165-delta-airlines-feces-flight/
@jym626 Why not? What’s first class do to with a dog? From your own article,
Again, I go with the most detailed explanation, the human.
The feces was all over the floor, the seat, the side wall, etc. I’m assuming it must have been a dog because if it was the old man he would have had to have his pants down to make that kind of a mess!
Oh, you never know. Stuff happens.
Re; german shepherd:
Because, IIRC, the policy is the dog has to fit under the foot area and cant protrude out or into the aisle, @Iglooo A puppy could probably fit, but probably not a grown German Shepherd.
Not to get too graphic, but dog feces and human feces do not smell the same. I would think that those around the smell would be able to tell the difference.
