Looking back, I was a mean D to my mom as a senior, but my own D was pretty cool, still is. I’m waiting for the karma to hit…
We went through the same thing and by the time she left for college she was ready to go and we were ready to send her. Not really but…I needed some peace. Now she is coming home for her first break and I’m wondering what child will come home - the normal one or the crazy one filled with attitude. Time will tell.

It is normal, teens get like this, and given the stress of senior year, the no sleep because of the ton of homework and such they all seem to have these days, worrying about college applications and admissions, and you get parent as this amazing irritation they wish would go away, or wear a bag over their head, everything we say gets magnified 10 fold…my son otherwise was a reasonable kid, but when we hit that, oye…we thought it would end when he got back his audition results, but it went on until he had accepted, then fretted about his choice…
It does get better, thought our S still has his moments, 3 years in:)
