Speech & Debate (9-12): Debate captain & treasurer - main job is to help form cases for new LD topics that come out bimonthly, coach during after school scrimmages, and register for tournaments. </p>

<p>Amnesty International (11-12): Founder & President - main goal is to help raise awareness about prisoners of conscience in our society. (eg Aung San Suu Kyi, Liu Xiaobo, Karim Amer…) Began a letter writing event to various countries to advocate for their freedom from imprisonment (through help of amnesty int) </p>

<p>Student Council (9-11): Treasurer (freshmen and sophomore year) - Organized fundraisers and keep record of club deposits</p>

<p>Youth Orchestra (9-12): Bass Clarinetist - Originally clarinet section leader, but switched to bass clarinet to accomodate for the missing low woodwind section. (we couldn’t find any other bass clarinet / bassoon player…). Funny thing, in turns out that I really like bass clarinet, much more than the regular Bb clarinet I played before. Not exceptional, so no plan on sending an art supplement :stuck_out_tongue: </p>

<p>Volunteer at a local senior center (8-12) - organize events (movie afternoons, casino nights). sometimes i perform clarinet and piano pieces. </p>

<p>that’s unnecessary, unless you found a “safety school” that you are particularly interested in.</p>
