Did anyone else get an email inviting them to participate in a discussion during orientation about the admission process and why they chose Stanford? Did they do this last year? Is everyone invited? Just curious…

I got that email too!

are you going to do it?

I am! I think it’ll be very useful to Stanford.

yeah I want to do it too! but I don’t know what time to choose, since I don’t have any idea of what other activities I’ll have to do…I guess I’ll just rsvp “I’ll go” but not say when haha.

I just signed up and told her to give me a time - that I didn’t care. So I’m doing it on Thursday at 2:45 - anyone else?

I’m doing it on Friday at 2:00, but the admissions office said that I could probably change my timeslot should anything come up. I figure it’ll make for a pretty interesting experience. :)

Thursday at 4. hopefully, it doesn’t conflict with my meeting with my advisor

I figured it was just a coincidence but…the email is signed by “Jim Kim”…not the same guy from Mountains Beyond Mountains?

No, it’s not the same guy. He put up a message saying that he is not the Jim Kim from Mountains on the Approaching Stanford website.
