Feedback on colleges

OK - this is great - OP - look at these:

SUNY Geneseo (State University of New York has many campuses) but this is one many like (and New Paltz).

Mizzou = University of Missouri.

U of Michigan Dearborn - is a branch of U of Michigan.

Florida Atlantic - I believe @andygp applied to the Wilkes Honors College which is small (about 500 kids) but the main campus which is 40 or so miles away is much larger. Both have the majors. But if I recall, @andygp there was a fee to have a 3rd party evaluate the transcript - and you were not willing to pay that. Did any other school ask for that?

Anyway, OP you now have lots of ideas - and some assured budget meeters.

Awesome - congrats to him.

OP - so as far as public, #6 Geneseo (and there are other SUNYs) should be a focus - and then others were mentioned earlier.

You had noted Oberlin - but this student is stronger and had a $60K cost - so it’s likely not for you unless you qualify for need aid.

Lots of good info from @andygp and above - so let us know if you have any more.

His school, by the way, is College of Wooster - they don’t have a business major but do have a Business Economics major.

Perhaps they’d come in at cost. They are known for research.

Best of luck.

Can you explain why?

In India, as in other Asian and European countries, the top “elite” universities are all public. But that is not the case here, where there are excellent private as well as public universities. The publics, in general, won’t meet need for international students but may offer merit aid to bring down the COA.

Great info by @Andygp.
