Feeling anxious about college admissions

I’m pretty worried about the college admissions since I’m currently a junior, planning to major in computer science.

A teacher that I have right now has reached maximum letters of recommendation, and that teacher is the one I feel can write more about me personally. I’m a student who turns the work in, shows to class, and is attentive, but I don’t really participate in class and I don’t know the teachers personally, so I’m afraid that the letters of recommendation will be average to college admissions. I’m not aiming to be accepted in the ivy leagues, but I do wonder how would would this and my application affect my chances at ivy leagues and at non ivies (Stonybrook, Binghamton, NYU, Northeastern, etc.). Thank you so much!

I don’t chance but here are a couple of comments:

–If a teacher can’t write a positive LOR he/she should say no. I’m guessing your LORs will be fine even if they aren’t exceptional.

–If you seek out a group of reach, match, and safety schools that appear affordable and that you would be happy to attend then you should have a positive outcome.

–I always recommend applying to at least one or two rolling and/or EA schools early – if you can get an acceptance by December that will take a lot of pressure off the rest of the process.
