Daughter applied to Leadership Fellows, still waiting to see if she got in so we can plan school visit. We didn’t submit deposit yet - no T shirt!
Fellows acceptances come through portal or regular mail??
@onemoremom , My D also applied to Honors and Business, and we too are traveling to NC for a different school in a few weeks for scholarship interviews. Sounds like our kids are on a similar path! We will be driving because I’m afraid to get on an airplane during flu season. LOL!
@bshore I’m guessing Fellows weekend invites are received through the portal - it seems on past threads that folks all heard at same time as invites were posted. And it seems like they didn’t come out early even if the 1st fell on a weekend.
@sound6 Funny! Our trip next week is actually to SC then hopefully to NC in March. Smart idea about avoiding the flu by not flying! How far is your drive? We are in Chicago area, so the drive would be quite a long one. Maybe we’ll buy masks for the flight! If you’re comfortable saying, where in NC is your planned visit?

What a long process. It just sunk in today that this is still only one more step. These kids will still not be able to make a decision if Fellows plays a part in deciding if Elon is the school for them. They still have to interview and then wait for another decision.

@mamawitch - this is all I could find:
All Fellows applications are reviewed after January 15. Finalists for each program are selected by faculty committees. If you are a finalist, you will be invited on February 1 to attend Fellows Weekend in March. If you have not already received an admissions decision through the Early Decision or Early Action deadlines, you will be notified of your admissions status at the time the Fellows invitation is extended.
The Fellows competition includes attending a seminar and writing a response, an interview with faculty and information sessions about the Fellows programs. From these finalists, Fellows are selected and notified April 1.
@mamawitch Absolutely correct. This is just an invitation to compete for placement in the programs. Having said that, I’m looking forward to this stage being done. Glad it’s tomorrow not Saturday,
